BEFORE THE NEXT STEP
A few good questions.
Questions about pickup, data handling,
or what your equipment might be worth?
01What types of equipment do you collect?
We collect business IT equipment, including servers, storage arrays, networking hardware, desktops, laptops, and miscellaneous IT assets. Services include collection, inventory, data sanitization, resale of qualifying hardware, and recycling. Equipment acceptance and any special handling are confirmed before pickup.
02Is equipment pickup always free?
No. Complimentary pickup may be available for qualifying equipment. It depends on the equipment’s age, condition, quantity, location, resale value, and how much work is involved in removing it. Some projects carry a service fee; others may qualify for a buyback or a share of resale revenue. You’ll have the pricing and terms in writing before collection.
03How are data sanitization and physical destruction different?
Sanitization is the overall process of making data infeasible to recover for a defined level of effort. Depending on the storage media and risk, it may involve clearing, purging, or physical destruction. Some methods allow a drive to be reused; physical destruction makes it unusable. The service agreement specifies the treatment, checks, and documentation for your equipment.
04Can you support a complete data center decommission?
Yes. Decommissioning services cover individual racks through larger data center removals, including servers, storage, networking, rack infrastructure, and enterprise compute hardware. The work includes equipment removal, inventory tracking, data handling, and resale of qualifying assets. Site access, shutdown responsibilities, and the removal schedule are confirmed in the written proposal.
05Do you offer residential electronics drop-off?
Our focus is business IT assets and enterprise infrastructure. We do not operate a public residential drop-off service. Please use your municipality’s recycling resources for household electronics.
06What records come with the service?
Project documentation can include an asset inventory with serial numbers, collection and transfer records, sanitization results, unresolved issues, certificates of sanitization, and recycling or resale reports. Your written proposal lists the records included with the services you’re purchasing.
